This summer (as in the break from teaching) came and went all to fast. We conquered many new-home projects and continue to argue with LaZboy about when our couch will ever arrive. The leaky shower upstairs gave us a temporary hole in our ceiling and after two attempts to fix it and about a whole tube of caulk, I dare say things are dry. We attended baseball games, played trivia games, and had no shame in staying out late and sleeping in just the same. This summer earned a gold star of approval and due sadness at its ending.
However, a quality show is only as good as its encore.
And so I present to you some gems from my annual family trip to the Florida coast. Sun, surf, sand –this was a finale at its finest.
(I’m warning you upfront, my nieces are ridiculously cute and won’t stop growing despite my protests.)
(WHO IS THIS GIANT CHILD AND WHERE IS MY BABY NIECE?!?!?!)
Lastly, can we talk about what in the name of good clean family fun is happening in this picture below? I mean, come on Florida. The headbands? The headphones and the kid trying to actually engage in conversation? THE DOG TAGS. The belly juxtaposition! And don’t get me started on the banana hammock in the background. Sometimes I question the people in Florida. I blame the tourists.
Until next time, Summer. Stay salty sweet and warm.
