Then and Now

My mom’s a total Betty.  Literally.  That’s her name.

She’s always been one to care about her appearance, she’s put together, and carries herself with style and grace.

So it’s no surprise that this photo, taken about 28 years ago, showcases a beautiful young mom and her two adorable daughters.  We were about to head out for a night of trick-or-treating.

and it’s no surprise that after almost 30 years, she can not only fit into the same costume (for my dad’s big carnival/circus theme birthday party) but also create a similarly cute picture with my niece…

Don’t you just LOVE it?

{also apologies for the poor attempt at watermarking my photos.  after an hour of cursing the software, I had to take what I could get…learning curve}

    Your mother is beautiful!! and its so awesome shes wearing the same costume!! I use picnik.com to watermark my photos. i just add the text, make the color white, and then fade it until its at the right color. takes 3 min. and you dont need a stinking account to do it either! free!! thanks for sharing!!

    Looking good Aunt Betty! I so remember Marlo’s Betsy Ross costume from looking through the closet with all your costumes and dance outfits.
